And for the third centerpiece, I want to try to make some paper castles to light up, which would also have moss around them. They wouldn’t be nearly this large, though.
The second kind of centerpiece will be the birch segments, which we can attach to a base so they’re stable. The base will be covered up with moss and have little flowers “growing” out of it. We can put little votives around there, too.
We can get a bunch of milk glass from that vintage rental place in Lincoln. They can make up a third of the centerpieces. Because we’re going to have about 30 tables I thought it would be a good idea to break them up with three different kinds of centerpieces.
I want to paint a background for pictures and get some sort of couch or chair situation to go in front of it. And of course provide appropriate Bavarian props.
Reception colors/inspiration.
God knows I love a light fixture. Also, if you’re interested in making (or shall I say up-cycling?) some tea cup lamps for fall I found a little tutorial: http://www.dreambookdesign.com/2010/10/teacup-lamp-tutorial.html . We could sell them! I think we should have a thrift scouting to see what we can find so we can get a ballpark of what we can do.
The more I look around my room the more I’m seeing trinkets I want to use for the front table… and I think I’m going to make up a little mock-up…
